Restorative Yoga is a healing practice that soothes the nervous system by fostering the relaxation response through poses that are held for a period of time, supported by props. Benefits of the practice include deep body relaxation, reduction of the release of stress hormones, down-regulation of brain activity, boosting the immune system, enhancing mood, and so much more.
Diane has been teaching Restorative Yoga for over 10 years and has found the practice to really support her students’ practice and lifestyles. In this training you will experience several Restorative Yoga practices, learn about how the practice supports the nervous system (physiologically and energetically), how to prop and cue in a way that is effective and efficient, modifications, how to bring restorative practice into a general yoga class and more.
