THIS SERIES IS FULL!
Combining the science of Functional Range Conditioning with the sensitivity and mindfulness of Yoga, let's gradually work together every week to build more power and more resilience in your joints during life and your movement practices.
You will sweat.
You will move slowly - with control - and isolate and fully articulate your joints.
You may feel things you've never felt before.
If you're a yogi, you will find more access to your asana without pain.
This is a 6 Week-Course, beginning Tuesday July 10th, where each class will build on the last and pre-registration is required. There will be one make-up class if you happen to need to miss a class.
Most of us think that mobility and flexibility are one and the same, when in fact they are two very different concepts. Understanding the difference between them can help all of us in our quest to become a better "movers”.
Flexibility is defined as "the ability of a muscle or muscle groups to lengthen passively through a range of motion.” Mobility is the "ability of a joint to move actively through a range of motion".
Mobility can be simply understood as flexibility plus strength and refer to the amount of USABLE motion that a body possesses.
The end result being more resilient joints while reducing the risk of injury.
