We are in the midst of challenging times. For many of us, this means daily navigation of fear, uncertainty, anger, and sadness. What becomes most difficult, and perhaps most critical, is the need to stay grounded and connected in the present moment—to our essential goodness, to our consciousness, and always, to each other. The practices of yoga, mindful breathing, and meditation provide a system for rooting ourselves in compassion and staying open during times when we are most tempted to shut down and become closed. These practices remind us to react less, listen more, and respond with intention and purpose. We believe there is good work to be done in the world right now, and these practices enable us to be brave, to be ready, and to reminded of love, first. Join us for a workshop offering guided meditation, breath work, and yoga poses for all levels of practice. Look for our Facebook event “Power in Presence” for more information!
“When you open yourself to the continually changing, impermanent, dynamic nature of your own being and of reality, you increase your capacity to love and care about other people and your capacity to not be afraid. You're able to keep your eyes open, your heart open, and your mind open. And you notice when you get caught up in prejudice, bias, and aggression. You develop an enthusiasm for no longer watering those negative seeds, from now until the day you die. And, you begin to think of your life as offering endless opportunities to start to do things differently.”
